Press Release: NPD #2019-6005 Crash Investigation & Arrest (SR 32 & Nixon Street, Noblesville) 3.6.19

Noblesville, IN - On March 6, 2019 at approximately 3:56 p.m., police officers from the Noblesville Police Department responded to the area of SR 38 and Little Chicago Road (Noblesville) in reference to a complaint of reckless driving.

Officers arrived on the scene a short time later and located a 2010 Chevrolet HHR that matched the description of the suspected vehicle. Officers reported that they activated their emergency lights and attempted to conduct a traffic stop near the intersection of SR 32 & Little Chicago Road. Officers indicated that the driver of the vehicle refused to pullover and continued eastbound on SR 32 from Little Chicago Road. It was reported that the driver reached a speed of approximately 90 mph during the pursuit and eventually lost control of her vehicle and crashed near the intersection of Westfield Road (SR 32) & Nixon Street (Noblesville).

The alleged suspect was transported to Riverview Health (Noblesville) and later booked at the Hamilton County Jail on the following preliminary charges:

Leaving the Scene of a Crash - I.C. 9-26-1-1.1 (Class B misdemeanor)

The alleged suspect was the only occupant in the vehicle and there were no reports of injuries. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.

Travel on Westfield Road (SR 32) was restricted for a short period of time as investigators collected information for the crash investigation.

The Noblesville Police Department is also investigating an additional crash that was reported on Little Chicago Road between SR 38 and SR 32. It is alleged that the suspect was involved in this crash prior to initial contact with police at SR 32 and Little Chicago Road. There were no injuries reported in that crash.
