A man is arrested after attempting to flee from deputies in a stolen car

SUSPECT: Mark Donaho, 59 years old, Banning resident

SUMMARY:
On Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2:05 p.m. deputies received information reference a stolen 2018 Dodge Challenger. Deputies Moss and Bremer located the vehicle near Kentucky Street and 14th Street in Yucaipa. The suspect driver saw the police unit and immediately fled, leading deputies on a one-minute pursuit south to Dunlap Blvd, then west to Avenue E. The suspect was traveling too fast to make the turn from Dunlap Blvd onto Avenue E, and he collided through a chain-link fence and into the yard of the residence on the corner. The car became stuck in the soft ground and Donaho was taken into custody.
The suspect was identified as Mark Donaho, and was found to be in possession of heroin, packaging material and a scale. Donaho was booked at Central Detention Center.
