3 suspects arrested in a carjacking incident.

CRIME: 215 PC- Car Jacking, 211 PC- Robbery, 10851- Grand Theft Auto, 422 PC- Criminal Threats

SUSPECTS: Anthony Soto, 38 years old, Pomona Resident
Javier Soto, 19 years old, La Puente Resident
Alaiza Gamez, 18 years old, Whittier Resident
Stolen Vehicle: 2012, Tan Chevy Cruze, California License # 8BGB638
NARRATIVE:
On March 3, 2019 at approximately 1:27AM, the victim and Suspect Gamez met on an online dating app and had agreed to meet at Washington Park. Both of them were sitting in the victim’s vehicle when 2 males approached them. The 2 males, Suspect Javier Soto and Suspect Anthony Soto, pulled the victim out of the vehicle and demanded that the victim empty his pockets. During the robbery, one of the suspects pointed a stun gun at the victim. The Suspects ultimately took the victim’s cell phone and tan Chevy Cruze.
On March 3, 2019 at approximately 9:40 PM the Pomona Police Dispatch received a call from the victim advising that he possibly found a subwoofer that was in his car at the time of the carjacking listed on OfferUp. Officers setup a meeting in the parking lot of the 400 block of S. Garey Ave with the subjects who had listed the item on OfferUp. A black Honda Civic pulled into the parking lot at which time awaiting officers made contact with the Suspects.
Three subjects inside the vehicle were positively identified as the suspects in the carjacking from earlier in the morning. The vehicle the suspects arrived in was a stolen vehicle out of the city of Whittier. The victim vehicle in the incident is still missing. All other property taken during the commission of the crime has been recovered.
Suspect Anthony Soto and Javier Soto are related, Suspect Gamez is the girlfriend of Suspect Javier Soto.
