Pomona Police Investigate Vehicle versus Pedestrian Traffic Collision

INCIDENT: TRAFFIC COLLISION

DATE/TIME: Sunday, March 3rd, 2019 6:57 PM

LOCATION: Mission Blvd/ San Antonio Ave

UNIT: Traffic Services Bureau

VICTIM: 18 year old male adult(name withheld pending notifications)

On Sunday March 3rd, 2019 at about 6:57 PM, Pomona Police Department  received a call of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision in the area of MIssion Blvd and San Antonio Ave.  When officers arrived, they discovered a vehicle had struck a pedestrian in the roadway.  They located a male adult victim down in lanes of traffic.  Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel treated the victim on scene and he was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.  The driver of the involved vehicle was also contacted on scene, and they are cooperating with the investigation.

This collision is being investigated by the Pomona Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team.  Anyone with information about this collision is encouraged to call the Pomona Police Department's Traffic Services Bureau at (909) 802-7741 or (909) 620-2048.
