MAJOR CRIMES TASK FORCE ARREST GANG MEMBER FOR POSSESSING NARCOTICS FOR SALES AND BEING A FELON WITH A FIREARM

SUSPECT: David Valles, 40 years old, Pomona, Ca.

NARRATIVE:
On March 2, 2019, at approximately 7:25 PM the Major Crimes Task Force was in the area of Olive and Gambier Street conducting high visibility gang enforcement patrol. Officers recognized known gang member, suspect David Valles, on foot in the area. Major Crimes Task Force Officers also knew Suspect Valles was on Post Release Community Supervision when they made contact with him. Suspect Valles was found to be in possession of narcotics on his person. A probation compliance check at the suspect's residence resulted in more narcotics and a firearm being found that belonged to the suspect. Based on the evidence located, it was determined that Suspect Valles possessed the narcotics for the purpose of sales and also was a felon in possession of a firearm. Suspect Valles was arrested and booked into the Pomona City jail.
