Sandbag Information

As a result of the extended periods of rainfall, Clear Lake is currently above “Flood Stage.”  The high water levels are affecting many individuals and agencies surrounding the lake.

Sandbags have been placed in specific areas to protect facilities and services that are vital to public services and the water quality of the Lake.  Removing or repositioning sand bags can cause potential hazards to motorists and drinking water supplies.

Lake County does not distribute sand or bags.  Some of our local hardware stores do have sand and bags available for sale.

Please be careful driving in wet weather, and slow down.  The combination of higher speeds and wet conditions accelerate the damage to our roads.
