Carrick Kennedy is arrested for armed robbery and a probation violation, he is being held without bail

SUSPECT: Carrick Kennedy, age 27 a Transient
VICTIM: Rite Aid
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, February 24th, deputies from the Yucaipa Police Station responded to the Rite Aid in the 34400 block of Yucaipa Blvd, following the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies were advised by employees that the suspect, Carrick Kennedy, entered the Rite Aid store, took a $25 pair of sunglasses, and approached the door to exit without paying. The cashier and manager both confronted him and demanded he put the merchandise back. Kennedy pulled out a container of pepper spray and threatened to pepper spray them if they tried to stop him. Out of fear for their safety, the clerk and manager kept their distance. Kennedy exited the store with the stolen sunglasses. Deputies located Kennedy at the nearby Transit Center as he waited for a bus.
Kennedy is currently on formal felony probation. Kennedy was arrested for armed robbery and probation violation and booked at Central Detention Center where he is being held without bail.
