| Detectives with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Gang Unit and Pre-Trial Detention Facility Classification Unit conducted a firearms investigation into Santa Paula criminal street gang member Gregory Nunez for his involvement in crimes related to unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and street terrorism. On February 23, 2019, at approximately 1:45 p.m., detectives executed a search warrant at the residences of Gregory Nunez in the 700 block of Durnham Lane, in the city of Ventura. During the execution of the search warrant, detectives seized an unlawfully possessed firearm, ammunition, and gang indicia. Gregory Nunez was booked into custody at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Main Jail for charges of 29800(a) P.C. - Possession of a firearm by a felon, 30305(a) P.C.- Possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, 186.22(a)- Street Terrorism, and an outstanding warrant. Nunez is currently being held on a $600,000 bail.
