The Major Crimes Task Force consist of police officers who have specialized training in gangs and vice related crimes. The Major Crimes Task Force is made up of officers from the Pomona
Police Department and augmented with officers from the California Highway Patrol’s Baldwin Park Area Office.
On Friday, February 22nd and Saturday, February 23rd, the Major Crimes Task Force focused its crime fighting efforts on an area in Pomona infamously known as the Holt Corridor/Blade. This area is
nationally known as a problem area for prostitution. Over the two day period, the Major Crimes Task Force deployed under cover surveillance and tactical units to covertly combat the
prostitution along the Holt Corridor. As a result, the Major Crimes Task Force arrested a total of 16 prostitutes and 3 “John’s,” (a prostitute’s client) who were attempting to engage in sexual acts
in exchange for money. All persons listed above were arrested and booked at the Pomona City jail.
