STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED— Hardin County Mayor Kevin Davis has declared a state of emergency in the county as the Tennessee River continues to rise and is expected to reach 400 feet at Savannah on Tuesday.
The Red Cross has set up a shelter at Savannah Church of Christ to house families displaced by this historic flood.
Officials are urging motorists to exercise extra caution on the roadways, and to avoid driving through flooded areas.
