Weekend storm w/ damaging winds may cause widespread power outages. For to prepare www.michigan.gov/miready

High winds are forecast for Sunday morning throughout the evening. As always during emergencies we advise that you prepare for extended power outages. Charge your smartphones tablets and computers today and keep them fully charged. If you have outdoor furniture, bring it inside if you can or make sure the covers are secure. Stay safe, Clinton Twp! Some ways to prepare include: 1.Fill some containers with water and place them in refrigerator and freezer - it will help keep food cold during a power outage. 2. Make sure you have medications and plan for family members with disabilities or have ill health. 3. Keep gas tanks as full as possible, power outage can cause gas stations to be unavailable. 4. Keep a key to the house - the garage may not open if power is out. 5. Have extra batteries on hand, flashlights available, food that does not require heat.
