Dense Fog Advisory until 09:00AM Friday

Widespread dense fog is expected to redevelop by late this evening and then linger through mid-morning tomorrow. The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to 9 AM CST Friday.

* VISIBILITY...One quarter mile or less at times.

* DURATION...Up to 12 hours.

* IMPACTS...Motorists are advised to use extreme caution and allow for additional travel time. Use low beams...reduce driving speed and allow for plenty of room between other cars as vehicles and other objects on and near roadways will be seen only at close range.

* AFFECTED AREAS: LOWER PLAQUEMINES ... HARRISON ... ASSUMPTION ... UPPER JEFFERSON ... ST. CHARLES ... JACKSON ... ST. JAMES ... UPPER PLAQUEMINES ... ST. TAMMANY ... UPPER ST. BERNARD ... LOWER ST.
