Cal City update : 10:25 AM - Hwy 58 Now Open, all MUSD Cal City schools will be closed 
Overnight wintery weather has caused The closure of all Cal City MUSD schools for today.
Hwy 58 has several accidents over the Tehachapi mountains. At 10:25 AM this morning, CHP has re-opened Hwy 58 over the Tehachapi's. CHP is escorting groups of cars over the mountain. There will be delays due to the existing line of traffic awaiting to travel over the pass.
Cal City Schools - MUSD - Closed al schools today but will resume normal schedule tomorrow.
No other nearby roadways are reported to be affected. Hwy 14 is open to the Antelope Valley as well as Los Angeles area.
Motorists should give themselves extra time for travel for the next 24 hours.
Overnight temperatures dipping below freezing throughout the desert and mountains tonight may cause hazardous driving. Ice may form on bridges, overpasses at on some roadways. Drive with caution after dark,
