Two suspects are arrested for residential burglary, possession of stolen vehicle & possession of controlled substance

INCIDENT: Residential Burglary, Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance
LOCATION: 11900 block of Yorba Avenue, unincorporated area of Chino
SUSPECTS: Danae Corey, 28-year-old female resident of Rosemead
Cody Hopkins, 38-year-old male resident of Pomona
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, deputies from the Chino Hills Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of suspicious circumstances. The suspects were seen cutting the grass of a house and entered the unoccupied residence. Upon arrival, deputies found a broken window and observed two suspects, wearing orange vests, flee from the residence. Deputies were assisted by the Chino Police Department and, with the help of the public, located the suspects. During the investigation, deputies determined Hopkins and Corey burglarized the residence, were in possession of a controlled substance, and were in possession of a stolen vehicle. Corey and Hopkins were booked into the West Valley Detention Center for several crimes including residential burglary, resisting arrest, possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.
