Alert

GBPD refers a charge of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide on a 32 year old Green Bay man. See the GBPD website for more info.

On January 27th, 2019, at 7:19p, members of the Green Bay Police Department responded to a shooting in the 600 block of George St. The victim, Tavarious D Edwards, a 29yr old Green Bay resident, was found deceased.

After conducting over 25 interviews, watching hours of video and submitting evidence to the WI State Crime Lab, this has led to a referral being sent to the Brown County District Attorney’s office for a charge of 1st degree intentional homicide on 32 yr old Green Bay resident Brion Lamar Hatcher. Mr. Hatcher was located back on February 11th, 2019, at an apartment in the 1300 block of Packerland Drive, where he was taken into custody without incident. Since then, he has been held on a probation hold pending this investigation. The investigation remains active and very fluid, with interviews and analysis of evidence to continue for several weeks, therefore, we will not comment on items, outside of what is included within the criminal complaint, issued by the Brown Co DA’s office.
