Murder-suicide in Lytle Creek

INCIDENT:    Murder/Suicide Investigation
 
LOCATION: Dirt Road 2N57, Lytle Creek
 
SUSPECT:    Scott Allen Beetler, age 56 a resident of Corona
 
VICTIM:          Quitlahauc Pantoja, age 20 a resident of Anaheim  
 
SUMMARY:
On Friday, February 8, 2019, at approximately 5:40 pm., deputies from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station responded to a remote dirt road (2N57) in Lytle Creek following the report that two deceased males were found at the location.  Upon arrival, deputies located the two male subjects, later identified as Scott Allen Beetler and Quitlahauc Pantoja, deceased.  Deputies located a handgun near Beetler and Patoja.     
 
Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail responded to Lytle Creek to conduct the investigation.  Through investigation, detectives determined that Scott Beetler shot Quitlahauc Pantoja before turning the gun on himself. 
 
The investigation is ongoing; no additional information is being released at this time. Updates will be issued as new information becomes available for release.  The motive is not known at this time.
