Your San Mateo Police Department and North Centeral Regional SWAT team are in the area taking proactive measures to safeguard the community during a service of a search and arrest warrant.

You may notice a heavy police presence in your neighborhood, to include tactical officers and their vehicles. Rest assured we are taking every precaution to resolve the situation as peacefully as possible for everyone involved.

Please aware that these efforts can include distractionary devices that produce a loud explosive like sound, but these types of safety measures will only be used if they can be done in a manner that pose no risk to anyone involved.

To insure your safety, we are asking all residents to remain in doors at this time until further notice from your San Mateo Police Department. At which point we will send an updated message when we are clear of the area.

We ask that even though you can continue to call 911 for emergencies please refrain from calling 911 for updates for this incident in order to keep emergency lines open as the situation evolves. Thank you as always for your patience on this matter and we will notify you as soon as an update is available.
