* Flood Warning for... Crockett County in western Tennessee... Weakley County in western Tennessee... Dyer County in western Tennessee... Gibson County in western Tennessee... Benton County in western Tennessee... Obion County in western Tennessee... Lauderdale County in western Tennessee... Carroll County in western Tennessee... Central Haywood County in western Tennessee... Northern Madison County in western Tennessee... Henry County in western Tennessee... Lake County in western Tennessee...

* Until 230 AM CST Tuesday.

* At 825 PM CST, trained weather spotters reported flooding across portions of northwest Tennessee. Up to and in excess of two inches of rain have already fallen, with Doppler radar indicating more rainfall on the way.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jackson, Dyersburg, Martin, Union City, Brownsville, Paris, Humboldt, Ripley, Milan, McKenzie, Trenton, Huntingdon, Camden, Paris Landing State Park, Reelfoot Lake State Park, Fort Pillow State Park, Fairview, Tiptonville, Newbern and Dresden.

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
