A stalled frontal boundary will remain located across Northeast Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, and Northwest Tennessee Sunday through Monday evening. Weak disturbances will move along the front bring several rounds of moderate to heavy rain to the area. With fairly wet soil conditions already in place, this rain could lead to areal flooding in many locations. In addition, the rainfall result in river flooding across much of the region. A cold front will then move into the region Monday Night and Tuesday ending the threat for heavy rainfall. The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of East Arkansas, Southeast Missouri, and West Tennessee, including the following areas, in East Arkansas, Clay, Craighead, Greene, Mississippi, and Poinsett. In Southeast Missouri, Dunklin and Pemiscot. In West Tennessee, Benton, Carroll, Crockett, Dyer, Gibson, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Obion, and Weakley.

* From Sunday evening through Monday evening

* Three to five inches of rainfall with isolated heavier amounts will fall over an already saturated ground.

* Low lying and poor drainage areas will be at risk for flash flooding. Also the threat for river and small stream flooding will increase by Monday.
