...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM CST /6 PM EST/ THIS AFTERNOON TO 3 AM CST /4 AM EST/ FRIDAY... The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 5 PM CST /6 PM EST/ this afternoon to 3 AM CST /4 AM EST/ Friday.
* WINDS...Wind gusts of up to 45 to 50 mph.

* VISIBILITY...One quarter mile or less.
* TIMING...The dense fog will dissipate by about 2 PM.
* IMPACTS...Reduced visibilities will result in hazardous driving conditions.
* AFFECTED AREAS: NEWTON ... KENDALL ... BENTON ... FORD ... KANE ... COOK ... DUPAGE ... LAKE ... LAKE ... KANKAKEE ... PORTER ... WILL ... GRUNDY ... IROQUOIS ... LIVINGSTON ... JASPER
Instructions:
A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down... use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph and/or wind gusts of 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
