Vermilion River near Leonore affecting La Salle County .Synopsis... Rainfall amounts of one to three quarters of an inch over the past 24 hours on top of saturated soil has allowed river levels to rise. The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flood Advisory for The Vermilion River near Leonore, or from IL-23 near Streator downstream to confluence with the Illinois River.

* from late tonight to Saturday afternoon.

* At 945 AM Thursday the stage was 14.0 feet.

* Action stage is 15.5 feet.

* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* Forecast...The river will rise to near 15.7 feet by Friday evening.

* AFFECTED AREAS: LA SALLE, IL
