* At 821 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Carbondale, West Frankfort, Murphysboro, Mount Carmel, Benton, Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, Carmi, Fairfield, Mcleansboro, Christopher, Albion, Mount Vernon, Rend Lake Area, Sesser, Zeigler, Grayville, De Soto, Lancaster and Norris City. Additional rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are possible in the warned area during the morning hours.
