#LASD Heavy Rain Expected in the #WoolseyFire Areas Today. Use all Necessary Precautions
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Malibu/Lost Hills Station is advising of heavy rain expected in the #WoolseyFire areas from approximately 9:00 a.m. to noon today.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant on current weather and road conditions. Leave early to avoid possible extended road closures from mud flow & debris. Take all safety precautions & seek higher ground if necessary. http://lacounty.gov/LARain
CURRENT ROAD CLOSURES:
Topanga Canyon Boulevard from Grandview Drive to Pacific Coast Highway.
Decker Canyon Road from Mullholand Highway to Pacific Coast Highway.
NOTES: Strong winter storms can create unsafe road conditions for motorists. Commuters utilizing canyon roads should consider alternative routes as hillsides may become unstable due to significant rainfall. Large boulders, trees, and mud can fall into the roadway creating extremely hazardous conditions. Remeber to yield to emergency personnel in the area.
Do not attempt to cross flooded areas and never enter moving water.
