Search warrant and Chase Results in Arrests, Drugs and Firearm

For an extended period of time, the Fairfield Police Department’s Special Operations Team (SOT) has been conducting an ongoing narcotic investigation. The investigation culminated with the execution of search warrants on 1/31/2019. Search warrants were conducted in the 4300 block of Central Place, 1800 block of Virginia Street and the 2600 block of Beecham Court, all in Fairfield.
During the execution of the search warrant on Central Place, 46-year-old Fairfield resident William Gordon fled on foot initiating a foot pursuit where he was captured a short time later without further incident. During the foot pursuit, Gordon discarded a bag which was recovered and found to contain a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine, heroin, and other evidence items to indicate the controlled substances were possessed for sales.

During the searches on Virginia Street and Beecham Court, 52-year-old Fairfield resident Richard Peralta was detained. Searches at the locations revealed another substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine, a loaded handgun and further evidence indicating the sales of controlled substances. In total, close to a pound of suspected methamphetamine was recovered.

Gordon was booked into the Solano County Jail for possession of a controlled substance for sale, and a Post Release Community Supervision violation due to already being on probation for possession of a controlled substance for sale. Peralta was booked into jail for possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of a controlled substance while armed with a firearm.

If you suspect drugs are being sold or illegally possessed firearms are present in your neighborhood, please call the Fairfield Police Department’s Special Operations Team and we’ll see what we can do to help. SOT can be reach at 707-428-7344 or 707-428-7600.
