Traffic stop leads to arrest of Evansville man on drug charges.

On February 1, 2019, at 8:32 a.m. Deputy Zach Lienemann conducted a traffic stop on a Brown 2009 Ford Flex for failing to move over for emergency service personnel stopped on the side of the road on US 41 near Oak Street in Fort Branch. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Lienemann identified the driver as 27 year old Jeremi Lee of Evansville, Indiana. During a roadside investigation Deputy Lienemann ran Mr. Lee through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that Mr. Lee was operating his vehicle while his operators license was suspended on an infraction. Also during the investigation Deputy Lienemann found both synthetic and real Marijuana on the traffic stop. At that point Deputy Lienemann placed Mr. Lee into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Jail Mr. Lee was charged with Possession of Marijuana with a Prior Conviction, Possession of a Synthetic Drug, and Failure to Provide Financial Responsibility. He remains in custody on a $650 bond.

Assisting Deputy Lienemann in his investigation was Deputy Jennifer Loesch.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
