Investigators are asking for information regarding the identity of a suspect wanted in an attempt robbery at 7Eleven

INCIDENT: Attempted Robbery
LOCATION: 7-Eleven, 32400 block of Yucaipa Boulevard
SUSPECT: White male, 40’s, short brown hair with receding hairline
wearing a purple hooded jacket, black bandana/facemask, black jeans or sweats, black gloves and black backpack
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 12:24 a.m. deputies from the Yucaipa Police Department responded to a robbery alarm at the 7-Eleven store. Upon arrival, deputies learned an attempted robbery occurred, but the clerk fought off the suspect and the suspect fled.
The suspect entered the store and demanded the victim place money from the register into a bag. The victim pushed an alarm button and tried to stall the suspect until deputies arrived. The suspect pushed the victim, and they began fighting. The suspect knocked over merchandise racks and threatened to shoot the clerk and the clerk eventually subdued the suspect and ended the fight. The suspect freed himself and left the store, walking south on 14th Street.
