Advisory

Snow & Arctic Air Expected to hit the Morristown Area - Resident Info & Reminders

Per the National Weather Service Arctic air will move into our area today and remain in place through Thursday. Wet conditions remain across the area this morning after Monday`s rain. Temperatures dropping 20 degrees this morning will allow for a flash freeze of water on untreated and elevated surfaces. Black ice could make travel hazardous during the Tuesday morning commute. (see important flyers included in this message)

High temperatures today will recover very little, if at all, as cold air surges into the region and temperatures fall during the afternoon and evening hours. Lows tonight will drop well below zero and will likely remain below zero through Thursday morning.

Residents are urged to exercise caution during the upcoming weather event, as temperatures are expected to fall below zero. In the event of icing, please be cautious when going outside, driving and when parking/walking under or near trees. We encourage residents to follow the Cold Weather & Winter Preparedness Tips.
