Arrest warrant issued for non-compliant registered sex offender Keith A. Kappler. 
The Steuben County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance with locating a fugitive non-compliant registered sex offender. On 01/22/2019, an arrest warrant was issued by the Steuben County Circuit Court charging 56 year old Keith Adam Kappler with one count of failure to register as a sex or violent offender, a level 6 felony. The arrest warrant follows a Sheriff's Office investigation into information that Kappler was no longer living at his registered address in Steuben County and allegedly failed to report any change in location to the Sheriff's Office. Kappler is described as white male standing 5'09" and weighs approximately 159 lbs. He has brown eyes and brown hair, and is known to wear glasses. Kappler may be in the McHenry County, Illinois area. Anyone with information on Kappler's whereabouts is asked to contact the Steuben County Sheriff's Office or Steuben County Crime Stoppers.
