Full Notification

ATTEMPTED LURING: At approximately 3:07 pm, the Monroe Township Police Department was notified of an attempted luring that occurred on Tenth Avenue near Spotswood-Englishtown Road. Two (2) male children were walking on Tenth Avenue when a white van (described as possibly a “Transport” style van, with some sort of blue lettering) pulled next to the children. The passenger of the van, a white male with a black baseball cap and a “big” beard, rolled down the window and told the children to “get in”. The children then ran for the location and notified a woman that as in the area. The van then traveled down Tenth Avenue towards Monmouth Road. Anyone that may have seen this or any suspicious van in the area around this time, is asked to contact the Police Department at 732-521-0222 immediately.
