Jan. 15

Grand Theft – El Cerrito Plaza
At 1:25 pm, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and stole a lunch pail, tool bag and a tool belt.

Robbery – 3050 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 5:55 pm, an officer reported that two armed men entered the business and demanded money from the clerk. After receiving the cash from the register the two men fled in an unknown direction.

DUI – Carlson Blvd / San Pablo Ave:
At 11:16 pm, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop where they contacted the 28-year-old driver and determined he was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Jan. 16

Warrant Arrest – 11280 San Pablo Ave:
At 2:09 pm, an officer reported the arrest of a 35-year-old female who was contacted after she attempted to break a window at a business. A records check revealed the female had an outstanding warrant. The female was booked and then taken to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Drunk in Public – 11687 San Pablo Ave:
At 5:32 pm, an officer reported the arrest of a 26-year-old man who was heavily intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The man was later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Shoplifting – 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 8:03 pm, an officer reported two unknown suspects entered the business and selected 30 bottles of cough syrup before leaving without paying.

Shoplifting – 10794 San Pablo Ave:
At 9:20 pm, an officer reported an unknown suspect selected numerous clothing items and fled from the store without paying.

Mail Theft – 6600 block of Cutting Blvd:
At 12:18 am, an officer reported an unknown suspect removed mail from a residential mailbox and rode off on a BMX style bicycle.

DUI & Warrant Arrest – Key Blvd / Knott Ave:
At 2:38 pm, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop where they contacted the 53-year-old driver and arrested her for DUI. The woman also had a warrant for her arrest stemming from a previous DUI arrest. The woman was later released from the El Cerrito Police Department with a citation.

Jan. 17

Burglary – 7300 block of Pebble Beach Dr:
At 6:13 pm, an officer reported an unknown suspect entered a residence sometime during the past week, however no loss was reported.

Auto Burglary – 10750 San Pablo Ave:
At 7:09 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the front passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and removed a backpack containing a laptop and tablet.

January 18th

Shoplifting - 11319 San Pablo Ave:
At 7:05 am, an officer responded to the report of a theft of a six baseball caps.

Organized Retail Theft - 11565 San Pablo Ave.
At 10:10 am, an officer spoke with Walgreen’s employees regarding a theft. Two suspects stole an entire section of cosmetics, primarily Oil of Olay products ($300-$400 loss.)

Strong Arm Robbery – El Cerrito Plaza
At 11:08 am, an officer responded to the report of a theft. A delivery driver had just disembarked from his truck with an armload of cell phones to deliver to a cellular telephone store. He was suddenly confronted by two male adults, in their early twenties, wearing black hooded jackets and masks. They knocked the packages from his arm, scooped them up and then fled to an awaiting vehicle.

Auto Burglary - 670 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 12:01 pm, an officer assisted a citizen with an auto burglary report. On January 17th, an unknown suspect broke a window and stole an iMac and other electronics.

Grand Theft – 5600 block of Poinsett Ave:
At 2:23 pm, an officer contacted an elderly woman who was conned over the phone into giving over $96,000 to “Apple Support.” She transferred the funds via Google play cards over the last eight days.

Warrant – 11450 San Pablo Ave. (Safeway):
An officer contacted a person in the parking lot of Safeway and found they had an arrest warrant issued by the San Francisco Police Department. They were arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then brought to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Shoplifting – 10759 San Pablo Ave. (Marshalls):
An officer responded for the report that three people had just left the store with merchandise. The suspects took clothing and fled out of three different doors simultaneously. They drove away from the store in a silver vehicle with dealer plates on it.

Burglary – 2500 block of Carquinez Ave.
Between December 28th and January 18th someone pried open a door, entered the home, and stole property.

January 19th

Elder Abuse - 9800 San Pablo Ave.
At 3:15 pm, an officer contacted an elderly San Pablo man regarding a fraud that occurred yesterday in between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Two suspects approached him about helping him deliver money to a religious organization. He met the suspects at Copy Central and then drove both to Wells Fargo where he withdrew $7800 which he gave to the suspects.

Warrant – Central Avenue at San Mateo Street:
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and found the driver had an arrest warrant issued by the Oakland Police Department. They were issued a citation for the warrant and released from the scene.

January 20th:

Vandalism, 1700 block of Walnut St:
At 12:49 pm, an officer was dispatched to the report of vandalism. An unknown suspect smashed the window of a Prius sometime overnight.
