Roads continue to be reported as snow covered and slippery across much of the area early this morning, especially northeast Iowa and far southwest Wisconsin were some snow continues to fall. Use caution if traveling early this morning. Another round of more widespread snowfall was moving northeast across much of central and eastern Iowa early this morning, and was beginning to move into northeast Iowa. This area of snowfall will spread northeast across the area between roughly 3 am and 9 am, mainly be along and east of a New Hampton Iowa to La Crosse and Wisconsin Rapids line. This snow will impact the morning commute with slippery roads and reduced visibilities in the falling snow. Additional snow amounts of 1 to locally 3 inches are expected through mid morning, before the snow exits east of the area after 9 am. Some areas of far northeast Iowa and far southwest Wisconsin could see storm total snowfalls of 4 to 6 inches.
