Winter Weather Advisory until 06:00PM Tuesday

A wintry mix is expected to overspread portions of northern Illinois Tuesday morning and continue into the afternoon. Freezing rain and drizzle are the primary concerns and are likely to produce light ice accumulations on untreated and elevated surfaces. Precipitation may at times mix with snow and sleet. Temperatures are expected to gradually warm above freezing through the afternoon and evening Tuesday, and precipitation should eventually transition over to rain.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch expected.
