Shooting on Linear Park Path near Beck Ave 
On January 19th at approximately 3:36 PM, a report of a disturbance with a possible shot fired was received. Officers arrived in the area of the Linear Park Path near Beck Avenue and located a victim suffering a single gunshot wound to his foot. The suspect fled on the bike trail as police arrived.
Police quickly established a perimeter and located the suspect a short time later on the Linear Park Path near Abernathy. The suspect was positively identified as Roderick Harris, a 44-year old transient male.
According to witness reports, Harris and the victim were involved in a verbal disturbance prior to the shooting.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with a non-life threatening injury. There were no other injuries reported during this incident.
