Flood Watch until 01:00PM Sunday

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of northern Delaware, northeast Maryland, New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania, including the following areas, in northern Delaware, New Castle. In northeast Maryland, Cecil. In New Jersey, Camden, Eastern Monmouth, Gloucester, Mercer, Middlesex, Northwestern Burlington, Salem, and Western Monmouth. In southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lower Bucks, Philadelphia, and Western Chester.

* From 7 PM EST this evening through Sunday afternoon

* Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected across the watch area, with locally higher amounts possible.

* Periods of moderate to heavy rain will occur from late this evening through early Sunday morning. In the areas of heaviest rainfall, urban and poor-drainage flooding is expected to occur. Sensitive streams and creeks will also be susceptible to flooding, especially in areas where convection enhances rainfall rates. River flooding cannot be ruled out, particularly if widespread rainfall totals exceed 2 inches.
