Winter Storm Warning in effect, State of Emergency declared for 12:00 noon on 01/19/2019. On street parking prohibition in effect.

The Governor has declared a State of Emergency starting at 12:00 noon on 01/19/2019. By order of the South Bound Brook Police Department due to the impending snow event all vehicles must be removed from ALL roads. Parking can be found at the Robert Morris School parking lot off of Elizabeth Street and in the commuter lot behind the South Side Grill at 2 Main Street. All vehicles must be removed from those lots by midnight Monday night. Any questions related to parking during the storm please contact the South Bound Brook non emergency number

National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning.

As this Winter Storm approaches our Area. Heavy snow, Strong winds, Power outages possible.

South Bound Brook is prepared for the approaching storm. These are the latest details and tips for the approaching weather event.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning which includes heavy snow and high winds which is in effect from now through Sunday afternoon.

**Accumulations- Snow could be 4 to 7 inches.
** Ice accumulations to one tenth of an inch possible.

**Visibility.. One quarter mile or less during

PRECAUTIONS/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow and ice means severe winter weather conditions are expected or will be occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous.
Only travel in an emergency! If you must travel keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Parking on snow covered roads is PROHIBITED on all roads in the Borough.

Do not push of blow snow onto the roadways,

If you have a fire hydrant on or near your property, think about clearing the snow away from it.

Remove snow from sidewalks within 12 hours of when snow stops falling.
