UPDATE: Winter Weather Advisory affecting On-Street Parking and City Bus Schedule this weekend 
Forecasts call for heavy snow accumulation beginning Saturday afternoon, intensifying Saturday evening, and continuing through Sunday afternoon. Freezing temperatures with significant wind chill expected Sunday and Monday.
Per City ordinance, all vehicles must be removed from City streets after 2 1/2" of snowfall. HOWEVER, residents are asked to cooperate by removing vehicles from City streets by Noon on Saturday, to assist in plowing efforts in anticipation of significant snowfall late in the day.
Oneonta Public Transit bus service to and from the SUNY Oneonta campus will be suspended beginning 4:00 PM Saturday. All other bus routes will be suspended at 6:00 PM Saturday. All bus routes are scheduled to resume at 6:00 AM Monday.
The City's Code Enforcement staff reminds property owners that snow and ice shall be removed from the sidewalk in front of their property by 9:00 AM each day. If ice cannot be removed from the sidewalk, then it will be permissible to be treated with ice melt, sand or other similar materials.
