SUSPECT #1: Gerald Green, 30-year-old Sacramento resident
SUSPECT VEHICLE: 2004 Green Honda Accord
On January 13, 2019 at approximately 3:30 P.M., Milpitas Police officers responded to the 400-block of Corinthia Drive for a suspicious person who was knocking on the front door of a home. Officers arrived quickly and saw a Honda Accord leaving the area with a driver and passenger that matched the description provided by the caller. Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Green. Officers discovered Green is on probation in Sacramento County for drug related charges and his driver’s license is suspended.
Officers searched the vehicle and found a loaded Ruger .380 handgun hidden in the car. The handgun was reported stolen in the State of Texas in 2015. Officers found suspected cocaine in Green’s pocket. Green was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, felon in possession of a firearm, and a probation violation.
Taking a stolen firearm off the streets has the potential of reducing violent crime in our cities. We would like to thank and commend the resident that alerted us to suspicious activity in their neighborhood.
