Shooting Investigation
At approximately 9:45 p.m., January 16th, officers with the Jackson Police Department were called to 30 Rainbow Cove on a report of a shooting. Responding officers found two persons deceased inside the residence. Preliminary investigation suggests that the shooting occurred during a Home Invasion Robbery involving narcotics.
One of the deceased persons was a resident of the home. The second person appears to be a suspect of the robbery. Both victims were adult males. Both victims have been sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Nashville, TN. for an autopsy and to confirm their identities.
The preliminary investigation also suggests there may have been another suspect involved in the robbery who fled before police arrived.
