WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY
South Brunswick Police have received a winter weather advisory from the local weather service concerning the next few days. Roads may be hazardous during the weather event and drivers should use reduce speeds and allow extra time during their commute.
WEATHER FORECAST
Periods of Light Snow Thursday Night...The next couple daytimes are quiet weather-wise and then we have another snow event for the night-time hours. This is a west to east moving system that produces light precipitation Thursday Night and departs around daybreak Friday. It's high confidence that our area sees this precipitation and we are cold enough for it to nearly be all snow (any mixing with rain likely is confined to areas just to the SE). Watch for coverings on all surfaces given that it is night and below freezing. On Friday, the snow will become a memory quickly as temps warm into the 40s. The weekend storm is significant, but one that looks to feature rain to go along with wintry weather. The main snow risk is on the front-side (Sat PM or Night) before we go to mainly rain. We may mix a little back to snow on the back-side of the storm Sun PM or Night, but the main takeaway is crashing temperatures as arctic air can lead to a freeze-up of wet surfaces
