City of Hoboken Construction from 1/12-1/19
Fire Hydrant Replacement at 40 Hudson Place on 1/13:
- Emergency Work will begin at 4pm on Sunday, January 13th and will be completed by 6am.
- Road Closures for the duration of the work are as follows:
- Hudson Place will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
- Observer Highway from Washington to Hudson Pl will be closed except for Buses.
- The Taxi Stand will be moved to Newark Street between Hudson Street and River Street.
- Hoboken PD will be on site for the entirety of the work.
PSE&G Work:
- PSE&G work crews will begin installing taller and sturdier poles along Madison Street between First and Fourth Streets.
- Planned work hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and on some Sundays. There will be no service outages as a result of this activity.
- Hoboken PD will be on scene to help mitigate any traffic issues as a result of the work.
Transformer Repair at 400 Harrison Street on 1/15:
- PSE&G will be working to repair a transformer at 400 Harrison Street.
- Work will begin at 9am and last no more than one day.
- As a result of the work, all electricity to 400 Harrison Street will be turned off.
- Hoboken PD will be on scene and Hoboken OEM will be available to any residents who are greatly inconvenienced.
