Arrest of Robbery suspect for an incident that occurred in the 2800-2900 block of Woodlane Drive.

Between December 20th, 2018 and January 4th, 2019 the Janesville Police Department responded to three similar robberies in the 2800-2900 block of Woodlane Drive. During the most recent robbery we learned from the victim that the suspect handled some of his personal belongings which were then left behind at the scene. These items were processed for the presence of fingerprints by J.P.D. Identification Officer Van Fossen.

Today we developed a suspect after the fingerprints that were lifted from the victim’s personal items were matched to that of a 15 year old Janesville boy. We have charged the 15 year old with the following crimes for the robbery that occurred on January 4th, 2019:

• Robbery
• Burglary
• False Imprisonment

We will continue to investigate this incident, as we believe that the other two robberies may be linked to this crime. We strongly encourage the public to contact us if they have any knowledge of these crimes.
