Wrentham, Plainville, Norfolk and State Police are currently searching the Hawes Street neighborhood for a man who fled into the woods after an off-duty State Trooper spotted him acting suspiciously in a yard.
When the Trooper identified himself, the man fled into the woods while a second male sped away in a grey 2008 Honda Accord, Mass reg. beginning with 7PP.

Police K9 and helicopters are in the area assisting.

At this time, this is a case of suspicious activity. We are not aware of a crime being reported or committed.

We suggest you lock your doors, stay in contact with neighbors who are alone and don’t wander outside for the next couple of hours.

If we don’t locate the person by then, it’s likely he left area before the police search was fully underway.
