NARRATIVE:
The Township of Ocean Police Department is pleased to announce the promotion of Timothy R. Torchia to the rank of Captain, which is effective today Monday, January 7, 2019. The public swearing will take place on January 10th, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Town Hall.
Captain Torchia started his career as police officer in February of 1996 for the Borough of Deal and was hired by the Township of Ocean in May of 1998. During his career Captain Torchia has been assigned to the Patrol Bureau, the Criminal Investigation Bureau and Administration. Recently, Captain Torchia served as the department’s public information officer.
Captain Torchia will be assigned to Administration and report to Chief Peters.
