Dense Fog Advisory until 10:00AM
The pressure gradient as the surface is still quite relaxed and allowing winds to be mostly calm over the forecast area. This combined with mostly clear skies is aiding in the development of dense fog across the region. Local observations and satellite data indicate dense fog has been steadily increasing in areal coverage, thus prompting the need for an advisory. The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM CST this morning.
