12/01/2018 *Felonious Assault / CCW
8000 Block of Coyle Rd –Residential Property issue resulted in subject pulling a gun on the victim. The subject was arrested and a warrant issued for Felonious Assault/CCW.

12/03/2018 *Larceny from Building
9100 Block of Main St-Property was stolen from the Center, Suspect was identified, the property was recovered and returned with no prosecution desired.

12/03/2018 *Breaking & Entering
7300 Block of Spencer Rd- A neighbor reported a broken gate, Officers determined that the gate was purposely broken by a possible vehicle, on the property a camper trailer and storage structure had been broken into – evidence was collected at the scene and the case remains under investigation.

12/03/2018 *Disorderly Person
9300 Block of Main St – Man with a knife causing a disturbance, it was determined that no threats or damages were made through subjects actions – recommended eviction of tenant to the landlord.

12/05/2018 *Breaking and Entering –Residence under construction
2600 Block of E 5 Mile Rd –Sometime between Dec 3 & Dec 5 unknown subject(s) broke a basement window, entered and removed appliances. The case remains under investigation.

12/09/2018 *Arrest- Operating while Intoxicated 2nd Offense
U.S.23 & Joy Rd –An officer observed erratic driving pattern – a traffic stop of vehicle revealed the driver was intoxicated- the driver was arrested and the case has been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office

12/10/2019 *Breaking and Entering Garage
1500 Block of E. Five Mile Rd – After returning home and discovering his mini-bike in his driveway, the homeowner found his pedestrian garage door had been pried open. No other property appeared disturbed or missing – No suspects or witnesses –

12/10/2018 *Identity Theft
5900 Block of Bedford Place – A resident reported that on 12/10/18 he received notification from an unknown Visa account – Victim discovered that a Visa account had been opened in his name and charged several thousand dollars without his authorization. A fraud alert was placed with the credit bureaus and an additional report was made with the FTC.

12/13/2019 *Larceny (theft without force)
9000 Block of Kearny- A known subject working at a residence took a tool from the homeowner. The investigation assisted in the return of the tool and no prosecution desired.

12/16/2018 *Arrest – Fleeing & Eluding Police
6 Mile & US 23 – Erratic driving behavior led police on a pursuit, after getting the driver to stop his vehicle, evidence suggested the driver had been drinking. The driver had several previous convictions for drinking and driving and was both physically and verbally non-compliant during his arrest. A search warrant was issued to draw blood and the investigation continues, waiting the lab results.

12/21/2019 *Tampering with Vehicle
8900 Block or Sunflower- Video footage displayed an unknown subject attempted to gain entry into resident’s vehicle while it was parked in the driveway. Entry was not gained and subject has not been identified.
REMEMBER: Keep all vehicle doors locked and property out of sight.

12/21/2019 *Identity Theft
5900 Block of Bedford Place – A resident reported that on 12/21/2018 he received notification regarding unrecognized credit charges– Victim discovered that a credit card account had been opened in his name and charged several thousand dollars without his authorization. The complainant reported the unauthorized credit card and purchases to Equifax. Police report filed, but no suspects or witnesses.

12/22/2018 *Identity Theft
6400 Block of Beverly Lane- Resident- complainant reported that on November 28,2018 an unknown suspect used his name to open up a credit card and make 6 transactions totaling several thousand dollars in purchases. Upon receipt of an invoice, complainant contacted the credit card issuer regarding the fraud. Police report filed, but no investigative leads.

12/22/2018 *Hit & Run
6300 Block of E. North Territorial- At 7:49pm a Blue Ford F-150 struck complainants vehicle (Red, Ford Focus) twice without stopping. Anyone witnessing this act, who has additional information should contact Northfield Police

12/23/2018 *Arrest – Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License
6 Mile & Main – An officer observed an equipment violation and upon stop of the vehicle discovered driver was driving on expired/suspended license , 3rd offense. The driver was arrested, the vehicle impounded and the license plate confiscated to be destroyed.

12/28/2018 *Arrest- Driving on a Suspended License & Outstanding Warrant
Barker & U.S 23- An officer observed a traffic violation and upon the traffic stop discovered the driver was driving with a suspended driver’s license and the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The driver was arrested and the vehicle turned over to the owner.

12/28/2018 *Arrest – Felony Fugitive Warrant
Main & Barker- An officer observed a traffic violation and upon a traffic stop discovered no one in the car had a valid license. In addition, the officer discovered one passenger had outstanding warrants. The driver was issued a ticket, the passenger was arrested and held for the jurisdiction with the warrant and the vehicle was turned over to the owner.

12/30/2018 *Unlawful Driving Away of an Automobile (Stolen Car)
700 Block of Six Mile – While officers were assisting another jurisdiction for some larceny (theft) complaints, the investigation led to a possible stolen vehicle in our jurisdiction- Evidence was obtained, a suspect developed and the case remains under investigation.

12/30/2018 *Arrest- Fugitive Warrants
Main & 6 Mile Rd- An officer observed a traffic violation and upon making a traffic stop discovered the passenger of the vehicle was wanted on several warrants. The subject was arrested and turned over to the jurisdiction holding the warrants.

12/31/2018 *Arrest-Operating While Impaired 2nd Offense –High BAC
Spencer & 7 Mile Rd- Officers responded to an overturned vehicle in the roadway. When officers arrived a witness pointed out the driver, who denied needing medical attention. Based on the driver’s behavior and other evidence, the driver was requested to perform sobriety tasks- it was determined the driver was intoxicated. After refusing to submit to a breathalyzer, a search warrant was obtained and blood was drawn. The driver was arrested. Charges are pending the lab results, further the driver did not have insurance on his vehicle.
