Flash Flood Watch until 06:00PM Thursday

Rains will continue to spread across southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana this morning and increasing in coverage this afternoon. Rains are expected to be heavy at times... which may lead to flash flooding. Rains will continue through the day on Thursday before ending on Friday morning. The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of Louisiana and southeast Texas, including the following areas, in Louisiana, Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Evangeline, Rapides, and Vernon. In southeast Texas, Hardin, Jefferson, Northern Jasper, Northern Newton, Orange, Southern Jasper, Southern Newton, and Tyler.

* From noon CST today through Thursday afternoon

* Rains are expected to be heavy at times...which may lead to flash flooding. Rains will continue through the day on Thursday before ending Friday morning. Two to four inches of rain are expected with locally higher amounts possible.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHERN JASPER ... EVANGELINE ... BEAUREGARD ... HARDIN ... NORTHERN NEWTON ... RAPIDES ... CALCASIEU ... ORANGE ... AVOYELLES ... SOUTHERN NEWTON ... ALLEN ... VERNON ... JEFFERSON ... TYLER ... SOUTHERN JASPER
