Dense Fog Advisory until 09:00AM Wednesday

Another cool night with abundant moisture in place. Already some dense fog over the marine areas and this could work inland and along some of the drainage basins near the coast. Fog potential doesn't look as great as last night when winds were much lighter but still possible. The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM CST Wednesday.

* VISIBILITY...a quarter of a mile or less at times.

* DURATION...6 to 10 hours.

* AFFECTED AREAS: LOWER PLAQUEMINES ... HARRISON ... UPPER JEFFERSON ... ST. CHARLES ... JACKSON ... UPPER PLAQUEMINES ... ST. TAMMANY ... UPPER ST. BERNARD ... LOWER ST. BERNARD ... ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST ... ORLEANS ... LIVINGSTON ... HANCOCK ... LOWER LAFOURCHE ... LOWER TERREBONNE ... LOWER JEFFERSON ... SOUTHERN TANGIPAHOA

Instructions:

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down... use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
