Female suspect charged with several crimes related to her firing shots at a male Harper Woods resident.

On Friday December 28, 2018 at approximately 5:30 p.m. there was an altercation at a residence in the 20300 block of Kingsville in the City of Harper Woods. The altercation was between Danienal Bishop, a 26 year old Detroit resident, and the father of her children. Danienal Bishop began to leave the scene driving her vehicle which was also occupied by her three children; ages 5, 9 and 11. While driving away from the scene, Bishop produced a handgun and fired several shots at her children's father, who was standing on the front lawn of his property. Harper Woods Police responded immediately and began their investigation.

Within four hours, the HWDPS had arrested Bishop and recovered the 9mm handgun used in the crime. The victim was not injured during the incident.

On Sunday December 30, 2018 Danienal Bishop was video arraigned and formally charged with the following:

Count 1: Weapons-Firearms-Discharge From Vehicle
Count 2: Assault With A Dangerous Weapon (Felonious Assault)
Count 3: Child Abuse-4th Degree
Count 4: Domestic Violence

Bishop was given a $5,000.00 personal bond and has a Preliminary Examination scheduled for January 16, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in 32-A District Court. If convicted, Bishop faces up to (10) years in prison.
