Per state law, it is legal to shoot fireworks up till 1:00AM tonight.

It's the law.

We can't make anyone stop. Period. Yes, we understand PTSD, and yes, we understand that it scares animals, and yes, we understand that some people have to get up in the morning, etc. We still can't stop people from shooting fireworks.

It's state law. It supersedes the local noise ordinances.

If you have a strong opinion on the matter, perhaps you should contact your delegation to the state legislature.

Now, just because it's legal to shoo fireworks so late, it doesn't mean that you have to do so. Please be considerate of your neighbors, and remember, it would be perfectly legal for them to organize a pot and pan drumline along your property line at 0700 while you are trying to sleep.
