Report Number: 18-5788
Occurred Date:   December 30, 2018
Occurred Time:   9:24 PM
Location:             Lakeville Street at Petaluma Boulevard North
Suspect(s):         Andrew Feltrop, 32-year-old Petaluma resident

Incident Summary

Petaluma PD officers were dispatched to a collision of a vehicle into a pole and upon arrival, found a Honda Civic on its roof on the sidewalk.  The driver, identified as Andrew Feltrop, self-extricated himself according to witnesses, who also kept him from walking away from the scene.  Officers contacted him and found he displayed extreme signs of alcohol impairment.  He was also found to be on probation which prohibited him from consuming alcohol.

According to witnesses, Feltrop was speeding southbound on Petaluma Boulevard North, turned eastbound onto Lakeville Street, and failed to negotiate the turn.  His vehicle drove onto the sidewalk, between a phone pole and building, and its wheel got caught up on the pole’s support wire.  The vehicle traveled up the wire to the point it flipped onto its roof.  Feltrop’s preliminary alcohol percentage was over four times the legal limit of .08%.  Although he denied injury, he was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Once Feltrop was medically cleared, he was booked into the Sonoma County Jail for suspicion of DUI and violation of probation.  Records showed he had two prior DUIs.
